Gift Registry extension helps your customer to create a gift registry, add favorite items to to registery and invite thier loved ones to do purchasing on their behalf by announcing them based on any special event. Creating a registry is a simple step by logging into customer account and choosing My Gift Registry from customer navigation.

A form will appear specify event, registry details, mode of registry(public,private) and all the information required to inform customer's guests.

After creating registry it is always available to edit or manage under same navigation My Gift Registry. By default registry is empty as there are no items added yet. To add item in registry go to product and view details, there is also an additional button Add To Registry. By clicking this button gift registry performs an ajax request and adds item to customer's gift registry.

To inform friends/family about Gift Registry, customer can go into My Gift Registry then from subnavigation Tell About Your Registry. From There customer can share his/her gift Registry by three ways: Twitter,Facebook or via Email. Email supports multiple recipients separted by commas.

Customer can also view the Gift Registry as Gust, this feature will show him/her how gift registry look like to guests. Gift Registry furhter can be searched by first/last name or Registry id from guest user.

7. The Gift Registry Owner can also mention the product is Received / can set the count to zero.
8. The Registry owner can also edit its Registry details and change the event date and description. The owner can also set the Registry image that would appear on Guest view as main image of registry.
9. The Registry owner can see how the Gift registry looks like by going into the userView.
10. The Registry owner can remove the Gift Registry.

How it Works

After installation has completed navigate to configurations and from menu choose Protech Gift Registry. You can enable or disable your gift registry extension right from here.

To create a Gift Registry customer should be logged in to his/her account and then by selecting My Gift Registry from customer subnavigation. Form will appear, fill up with details about co-registrant, event, gift register as public or private and finally customer's own information. After entering all valid details save registery. The same page will display Registry with no products in it.

Customer can add product to his/her Gift Registry by going on product details page and clicking on button Add to Registry. This button will perform an ajax request to customer gift registry and product item will be added. A pop message will confirm the registry added successfully

Customer can view the added item into registry by going into account and choosing sub-navigation My Gift Registry. The product will apear there with details having quantity customer want for item, additional notes for guest and also the status of item iteself.

To inform about gift registry customer can share his/her registry via three process :
1. Twitter
2. Facebook
3. Email: Multiple emails are sent.

You can also specify the shipping address where you want your guests should ship your Gift.

Now another feature is making your Registry Public or Private. By making your Registry public it becomes visible to everyone and appears in search. While private registry only visible to those who have link to its url or have id to your registry. Your guests can also search your gift registry by id. One having ID can access private registry as well.

Now you Guest view looks great and guests can buy products for you.

By adding of your registrant in your cart, you are told in description that you are purchsing for your registrant by option button.

Order item also tells order is for registrant and shows the name of registrant and co-registrant along with the URL :

You can search registry by firstname, lastname and also by registry id. The people with same name apppear.
